This year, Aggie Radio celebrated some outstanding shows by having an awards ceremony in the Aggie Radio Reception Center (The Station Manager’s backyard). There was food, drinks, and a lot of tears.

Best New Show: History of Rock

History of Rock is a show that highlights Rock in all of its glory. Starting with 1955, and covering a 5-year span with each show, Darren played and talked about the most influential rock bands in each era.

Best Talk Show: The Non-Traditional

Mellissa Allison’s show, The Non-Traditional, talks about Utah State University from a perspective that is not always given the attention it deserves, that of the non-traditional student. Mellissa, being a non-traditional student herself, speaks with professors and students about unique experiences at USU and sheds a unique light on university life.

Best Show: Aggie Newsroom

Aggie Newsroom is the first news show of its kind, providing news from a student perspective. Riley, Rachel and Cody spent two hours every week discussing local, university, national, and entertainment news. They also took breaks from the news to participate in segments like “Date Debate” and “Fact or Florida.”
