Believe it or not, school is back in session, and we here at Aggie Radio would like to welcome all students back to Utah State University! We are still here to provide entertainment to all students, and to provide students the opportunity to be on the radio. We will soon be having our first meeting to bring more DJ’s here to Aggie Radio! If you wish to become a DJ, please stay tuned for more info. If you have any questions, please email aggieradio@usu.edu

Aggie Radio has been busy this school year, most notably with our move to a new studio down on the first floor of the Taggart Student Center.  Our new location will help us provide you with the best listening experience possible.  So whether you’re getting a bite to eat at the Quickstop or picking up a scantron at the Bookstore, be sure to stop by and check out our new home.

And don’t forget to tell us what you want to hear: http://www.usu.edu/radio/?page_id=53.

Aggies,

Now you can take your favorite radio station with you wherever you go!  Download the Aggie Radio app on your iPhone or Android.  Listen to us on your way to class, while you work out and during those late night study sessions.  You can even wake up to us in the morning by using the alarm function.  Just search the Apple and Android markets for ” Aggie Radio Utah State,” download and enjoy!

Also, tell us what you want to hear by making a request: http://www.usu.edu/radio/?page_id=53.

Remember to tune in to fusion HD3 on Friday morning (April 29th). Coach Gary Anderson of the USU Football team will be live in studio fielding questions!

If you have any questions for Coach Anderson, send them to our request line at requests.fusionhd3@usu.edu on the day of the interview, or send them now to fusionhd3@usu.edu.

It is Fusion HD3′s birthday and we are turning 2 years old! Come help us Celebrate all day on the quad Friday the 16th. You can enter to win a brand new iPod and other cool prizes that we will give away on the air later that afternoon. Also, be one of the first 100 to come to the Fusion HD3 booth on the Quad on Friday at noon for a piece of Fusion’s Birthday cake donated by Utah Public Radio and Lee’s Marketplace

Friends of Fusion HD3,
The time everyone has been waiting for is here. First off I would like to express my appreciation for everyone’s efforts this year to help transform Fusion HD3 into a legitimate college radio station.  I know there are many volunteer acts that go unnoticed and I would like to say thanks to those individuals.

The Director Applications for the 2010-2011 school year and summer are ready to be filled out by YOU.  If you have enjoyed your time volunteering with Fusion HD3 this past year and would like to be more involved in the station this coming year, be sure to fill out an application.  There are currently eight director positions.  These director positions include: Station Director, Program Director, Promotions Director, News & Sports Director, Development Director, Production Director, Music Director, and Chief Engineer.  See the attached .pdf file “Director Descriptions” for more information regarding a specific position.  An electronic version of the director application in .doc format is attached to this email.  There are two ways to submit your applications: email a completed electronic version to fusionhd3@usu.edu (.doc, .docx, or .pdf files are fine), or if you would like to fill out the information by hand feel free to print out a copy and return the completed application to the studio (TSC 316).  There will be some blank hard copies available to pick up from the studio as well; however, the electronic version is preffered if possible. The director applications will be due as follows: the applications for Station Director are Wednesday, April 14 by 1pm, all other director applications are due by Friday, April 16 by 1pm.  If there are any questions regarding the application process, please feel free to send me an email fusionhd3@usu.edu.

We do have a few more events that we are looking forward to finishing out the year with. We are going to have a table out on the quad for day on the quad on the 16th and we will be having people sign up to win a new iPod touch/Zune (haven’t decided on the prize just yet) also we will be having a final end of year general meeting/party on Wednesday April 28th with pizza! More info will come to you on those things.

One side note, I know that a few of you DJ’s are having trouble getting some music on the system. If you need help with this please get a hold of Steve Crass our current Music Director, and he will be more than willing to do whatever he can to help. His number is (801)520-5673 or email him at music.fusionhd3@usu.edu

Once again, thanks for your efforts this year and good luck with finishing out the semester
