Hi, my name is Tom Ballard and I'll be your rhetoric associate this semester. I've lived around Utah, but I consider myself to be from Millville, "Country Living At It's Finest" (actual town sign). I'm an English major with an emphasis in Professional and Technical Writing. I'm also minoring in music and play trumpet in one of the jazz bands. I love skiing, hiking, and playing frisbee. As your rhetoric associate, I'll give advice on grammar, punctuation, spelling; all those basic things. More than that, however, I'll try to help you with the “rhetoric” of your paper, that is, the argument that you’re trying to make. I may not be an expert on the subject that you’re writing about, but I do know how to make writing effective and persuasive.
