Peer Centered: An online forum for writing tutors
Sponsored by Salt Lake Community College, Peer Centered offers
the opportunity for writing tutors from all over the chance
to get together and share experiences and tips. There are weekly
forums centered on a particular topic, and transcripts of previous
forums for those who like to peruse previous topics.
Bemidji State University Writing Resource Center
On-Line
Writing Resource Center offers a number of resources for tutors
and writers, including on-line tutoring, and reference materials
for everyone to use.
California State University Writing Center
The Resources and Faculty Services sections of the site have
some very good reference material available.
Colorado State University Writing Center
The CSU Writing Center offers a wealth of reference material
for writers of all types. Navigation can get a little interesting,
so pay attention to where you are.
Michigan State University Writing Center
There is not a whole lot of reference material here, but still
a good place to go to look at the structure of another writing
program similar to the Rhetoric Associates program. Also a good
place to go to look for links to other programs and resources,
especially electronic composition resources. A recent re-design
of the site has made it easy to navigate and use and nice to
look at.
Purdue Online Writing Lab
One of the oldest and most comprehensive writing center sites
available on the Internet, the Purdue Writing Lab offers one-stop
shopping for all of your reference material needs. There are
over 200 pages of information, with 130 downloadable handouts,
covering everything from punctuation and spelling to ESL tutoring.
University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign Writer's
Workshop
The writing center information is basically a rehash of what
you will find at other sites. We have included this site for
its comprehensive list of links to other writing sites.
L'Université D'Ottowa
This site has little information to offer, however, the on-line
grammar tutorial, Hypergrammar is worth a look.
Washington State University
The online writing lab offers an on-line discussion group where
people can post papers and others can comment in a threaded
discussion format.
