Multiple basic technologies (called platforms) are being developed to capture microbes for detection. The aim of all platforms is single cell detection in less than 15 minutes.

  2. Immuno DNA-(patent pending)This platform currently detects 1 cell in 30-60 minutes. This technology uniquely combines DNA and antibodies to minimize background in a thermally-controlled environment. 
  3. GlycoBind-(patent pending)A microbe receptor-based sensor capable of single cell detection of microbes as well as toxin. It is more stable environmentally and offers more flexability than previous platforms.
