The Non Traditional Honor Society
PINNACLE was founded in Murray, Kentucky in 1989. Nationally, there are over 135 participating colleges and universities. PINNACLE was created to provide adults (defined as 26 years old and older) and other non-traditional students recognition and career-enhancing advantages that membership in a national honor society offers.
The USU Reentry Student Center organized a PINNACLE chapter at Utah State University in 1990. Membership in PINNACLE acknowledges reentry students for their academic achievements, volunteer service on campus and community activities and leadership experiences. Some reasons students have given for joining PINNACLE are personal satisfaction, to serve as examples for children, families and friends, and to improve their resumes.
Each PINNACLE member will receive a lapel pin, certificate, seal, and letter of congratulations at the PINNACLE Initiation Ceremony.
