There Are Many Reasons For Coming Back To School


I am a single mother of an incredible little seven year old. She has been my inspiration and one of the driving forces in making me decide to further my education to make a better life for us.

It has given me great personal strength and satisfaction to learn, grow and have goals to work towards. I know this will influence and enrich the rest of my life, and the lives of my children.

I will be a first generation graduate and I'm so excited to think of the example that I am setting for my two children. With life's uncertainties, it becomes more important all the time to have a college education.

As a single mother at the age of 37, going to college has been one of the best things I have ever done.

Going to school has helped start me on a new and better road for myself and my family.

I have thought of going to school for several years now and could never get the courage to come to campus and put my foot in the door. Finding excuses for not going seemed an easy way. Now that I am going, I cannot believe that I was ever so afraid to begin. Being a wife, mother, and working is not an easy job, but facing it without being able to care for my family terrifies me more than any other thing could.
