Payment Plans



Payment plans are offered to students that would like to spread their payments over the semester.  They are also a solution for students that are waiting for funding from a third party such as financial aid, scholarships and even residency issue delays.  Payment plans are offered online through our TouchNet Payment System.

Spring 2019 Payment Plans

Five-month payment plan

  • November 20, 2018 1st installment
  • December 20, 2018 2nd installment
  • January 20, 2019 3rd installment
  • February 20, 2019 4th installment
  • March 20, 2019 5th (final) installment

Four-month payment plan

  • December 5, 2018 1st installment
  • January 5, 2019 2nd installment
  • February 5, 2019 3rd installment
  • March 5, 2019 4th (final) installment

Three-month payment plan

A $500.00 down payment is required at the time you enroll in this payment plan.

Frequently Asked Questions 

You must have charges on your student account in order to enroll in a payment plan. You can enroll in a payment plan any time after charges have been assessed on your student account.

Yes. If you enroll in a payment plan after the first payment is due, you will be required to make any missed payment(s) at the time you enroll in a payment plan.

No. You will not be dropped from your classes if you are enrolled in a payment plan.

No. You can only enroll in a payment plan online through our TouchNet Payment System.

Eligible charges that can be included in a payment plan are tuition, student body fees, class fees, Campus Store charges, housing and meal plans. Study Abroad program fees are not eligible for a payment plan.

A $50.00 non-refundable fee is required to enroll in a payment plan.

Payments can be made online in our TouchNet Payment System from a checking account, savings account, credit card or debit card. All major cards are accepted. A 2.875% processing fee will be charged on all credit and debit card transactions. We also accept payments by mail or in person. We cannot accept credit card payments in person.

Payments that are made from a checking account or savings account that are returned unpaid by your bank because an invalid or incorrect bank account number was entered will be assessed a $10.00 return check fee. Payments that are returned by your bank because of insufficient funds will be assessed a $20.00 return check fee.

Automatic payments is a feature that is available and is optional in the TouchNet Payment System.

A late fee of $20.00 will be assessed for any missed payment.

No. The payment plan is a contract between the student and USU. Only when the payment plan is paid in full will the contract be cancelled.

Yes. Anytime charges are added or removed from your student account, e.g., adding a class or dropping a class, your payment plan will automatically adjust. An email will be sent to you from TouchNet with your new payment schedule.

Yes. A payment plan is only for that specific semester.

No. The payment plan due dates are set and cannot be changed.
