USU REMAP Project

Regional Environmental Monitoring and Assessment Program

Integration of Upland, Riparian, and Stream Condition Monitoring for Intermediately Sized Watersheds on Rangelands

REMAP Watersheds in the Western US
The Utah State University REMAP Project is developing a strategy for monitoring rangeland watersheds in the Intermountain West. A top-down or strategic approach to monitoring is being developed that will allow the holistic monitoring of watersheds, as opposed to many current monitoring programs that are based upon bottom-up approaches that are method driven, single discipline, and site focused. Funding for the project is being provided by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency.
