Returning From a Leave of Absence
Welcome back to Utah State University from your Leave of Absence! Because you filed a Leave of Absence prior to your departure, in most cases you will not have to apply for readmission.
To facilitate your return, please review the following steps:
- Prior to returning, please contact the USU Matriculation Advisor. You may speak with her in person at the Retention & First Year Experience Office in TSC 314. Additionally, you may call her at 435-797-0977 or 435-797-1132.
- You will be asked to verify your local and permanent addresses. You will also be asked if you have attended another institution of higher education.
- Your registration hold will be cleared, but USU strongly recommends that you choose your courses in consultation with your academic advisor.
- If you are a parent, spouse, or a guardian representing a student, we welcome your calls. However, in accordance to FERPA (federal privacy laws), please be aware that a Release of Information Form must be on file at the Registrar's Office in order for any USU representative to fully assist you with your student's return.
