English 2010 Students Learn through Service
Susan Andersen, lecturer in the English Department and Assistant Director of the Writing Center, has been using service-learning in her English 2010 and Connections classes for three years. She is part of a group of dedicated English faculty members whose service-learning assignments have given some 3,000 students the opportunity to engage in tens of thousands of hours of service-related learning since 2005. Uintah Basin Faculty Recruitment and Retention Scholarship
Prior to Fall semester, the Uintah Basin Scholarship Committee, supported by Dean Wes Holley, implemented a new recruitment/retention scholarship to new students attending the Uintah Basin campus. These $500.00 scholarships were awarded by Uintah Basin faculty members to new, transfer, or returning (absence of one year) students who had not been awarded other scholarships. Read more...
