Conferencing is a primary method that RHA's accross the nation use to ensure the development of leadership qualities within residents on campus. Each conference offers opportunities to network with students and professionals from any given campus, state, region and nation and will be a defining experience in every participant's educational experience.
IACURH
Student leaders from Alberta, Montana, Idaho, Wyoming, Utah, Colorado, New Mexico and Arizona gather together at a university within the intermountain west for a weekend conference. IACURH 2009 will be held at Northern Arizona University in Flagstaff, AZ in from November 12-15, 2009. Attending a conference such as IACURH will empower individuals to take advantage of the opportunity to attend seminars, join discussion groups, and meet people from other colleges. It truly is an invaluable learning opportunity. After the conference delegates are encouraged to take the knowledge they gained at IACURH back to their Residence Hall Associations where, through student diplomacy, they have the power to build the residence hall setting into a beacon of civilization and teamwork conducive to the four most integral years of their education.
No Frills
The annual business conference for all schools within the IACURH region. Three representatives from each school (NCC, NRHH President and RHA President) are asked to attend this conference and serve as the voice for all on-campus residents at their host institution. This conference is hosted annually by University's within IACURH and bids to host the conference are presented each year at the regional conference. Also, all national award bid nominees are determined during No Frills
NACURH
NACURH is the largest student run, non-profit organization in the country. While the largest annual meeting, the NACURH conference, can draw thousands of delegates to a single convention, the roots of NACURH are in each individual school’s Residence Hall Association. NACURH released a vision statement that acknowledged on campus living as an opportunity for students to directly effect their community for the better, and for leaders to take the necessary steps to make campus the ultimate place to live, learn, and have fun. This conference is held annually during the summer semester and could be located anywhere in the country. NACURH 2010 will be hosted at the University of San Diego
