Rocky Mountain NASA Space Grant Consortium

Mars Workshop:
Since 1990 the Consortium has conducted annual workshops with the central theme of travel to and exploration of the planet Mars. The workshop is primarily directed to high school science and technology teachers and selected students.
GAS Small Self-Contained Payloads:
USU students flew the first Get-Away Special payloads in 1982. The total number of experiments which have been flown by members of the Consortium is 28. The GAS programallows students to participate in hands-on space experiments including the minituration of sensors, instruments, processors, and support systems for small rocket and small satellite experiments. This provides excellent projects, theses, and dissertations for the participating students.
