The Small Business Innovation Research, SBIR, has contractual grants from the Department
of Agriculture, Commerce, Defense, Education, Energy, Health and Human Services,
Transportation, Environmental
Protection Agency, National Aeronautics and Space Administration, and the National
Science Foundation.
Phase I is up to $100,000,
Phase II is up to $750,000,
Phase III is where you bring your product to market.
The Small Business Technology Transfer, STTR, offers grants through the Department of Defense,
Energy, Health and Human Services, National Aeronautics and Space Administration,
and the
National Science Foundation. Phase I offers awards up to $100,000; Phase II
awards up to $500,000. Phase three is bringing it to market.
