WHERE TO FIND BUSINESS INFORMATION ONLINE
- USU: ABI/Inform
Global (Online)
“ABI inform is a database of articles from printed
and online publications that is accessed through USU. It
is a product that the university has purchased and may
only be accessed on campus or by authorized users. The
SBDC is an authorized user. It may be accessed as follows:
www.usu.edu
- Go to www.usu.edu
- Select the “Libraries” tab at top of page.
- Select “Journal Indexes” under “Research
Tools” on the left side of the page
- Select “A” under “Alphabetical Listing.”
- Then, Select ABI/Inform Global. You
are now to the point that you can search articles and publications.
Searching
options are clearly labeled.”

“Lexis-Nexis provides access to professional
articles, online and print publications, statistics,
and legal cases.
It has been purchased by USU for authorized and on campus
users, so clients will not be able to access it from their
home unless they are a student. It may be accessed through
USU’s webpage through the same prcess as is used
for ABI/Inform Global, except by selecting “L” instead
of “A.”

To narrow your research, you will probably
need to modify your search:
- Go to www.usu.edu
- Select the “Libraries” tab at top of page.
- Select “Journal Indexes” under “Research
Tools” on the left side of the page
- Select “L” under “Alphabetical Listing.”
- Then, Select Lexis-Nexis.
- Select “Business” from the “Academic
Search Form” located on the far left of the page. “News” is
the default that will be selected when you open the page
- Select your specific need, such as “Industry & Market” or “Directories”
- Search by entering in your keywords
and date restrictions. These articles and abstracts are
also printable if formatted.
