Dr. Juan Trujillo, who completed his doctorate in physics this past May here at USU, presents "Weyl Gravity as a Gauge Theory." Refreshments follow Dr. Trujillo's talk.

For the USU Common Hour, Dr. Andy Anderson, senior lecturer in USU's Department of Biology, presents, "Don't Be Invisible: Why You Should Get to Know Your Instructors."

Dr. Anderson is a pre-health advisor and has helped many USU students successfully prepare for medical school, dental school and other professional degree programs. He teaches medical anatomy and physiology, human dissection and medical ethics.

Dr. Anderson's talk is sponsored by the Science Council and ASUSU.

It's time for the Pre-Med Club opening social. We will have free food in the BNR courtyard. The members will be able to meet each other and the leadership. We will also be taking suggestion for what the members want out of the club this year.

Inquiring minds of all ages are invited to a free presentation. Featured speaker is Randy Martin, associate research professor in USU's Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering.

Following Martin's talk, Science Unwrapped attendees of all ages are invited to enjoy free refreshments and a variety of hands-on learning activities.

Doctoral candidate Leda Sox, who received an honorable mention from the NSF Graduate Research Fellow Search, presents "Rayleigh Lidar Observations of the Mid-Latitude Mesosphere during Stratospheric Warming Events and a New Rayleigh-Mie-Raman Lidar at USU." A reception follows the talk.

This year the Entomology Club plans to focus on outreach to the community, insect-themed social events, and our hive of honey bees.
