Seven College of Science students were among the recipients of Utah State University's "A" Pin awards for Fall 2009. Associate Deans Richard Mueller and Lisa Berreau formally recognized the students at a ceremony Sept 22. Recipients are Benjamin Brown, biochemistry major; Victor Carlson, chemistry major; Chelynn Day, mathematics and statistics major; Manuel Diaz Martinez, mathematics major; Michael Perry, mathematics/statistics - composite teaching major; Joseph Richardson, computer science major and Neal Sorensen, computer science major.
Initiated in 1910, the "A" Pin Award program is one of the oldest awards program at USU. It acknowledges and rewards students who achieve a straight-A grade point average while carrying at least 15 graded credit hours for two consecutive semesters.
