In USU's College of Science, we consider undergraduate research an integral component of our students' educational journey. We encourage students to get involved in research endeavors that will enrich their learning experiences.

Proposal applications are now being accepted for the 2016 College of Science Undergraduate Research Minigrant program. Visit this link to access a fillable PDF proposal application form.

Qualifications:

  • Applicants must be undergraduate, declared majors in the College of Science.
  • Applicant's faculty research mentor must be in the College of Science
  • Preference will be given to applicants who are pursuing their first research experience.
  • Previous Minigrant awardees are eligible, if they are pursing a distinctly new research project.

Completed proposal applications should be delivered to the College of Science Dean's Office (ESLC 245) and are due by 5 p.m. on Friday, April 8, 1016.

How do I get started with Undergrad Research?

Contact the research coordinator (below) for the department in which your major is administered. The coordinator will assess your interests and help you find a research opportunity with a faculty mentor.
