Welcome

SOAR stands for Student Orientation, Advising, and Registration, and that is a good summary of what you will accomplish through the program. Even if you earned college credit or an associates degree while in high school, you will receive information necessary to enroll and succeed in the university setting. As an incoming first-year student, you are required to complete SOAR.

Why? So we can personally guide you through the enrollment process and make sure you have all of the information and assistance you need to start school with the right classes and the right information. You are also required to pay a $100 university deposit when you register for SOAR. The deposit serves as a "down payment" for your tuition and fees, and reserves your spot at Utah State. Your SOAR fee is taken from this deposit, and the remaining balance will be in your account when you pay tuition and/or fees. Learn More...

While most students come on campus for SOAR, we also provide an online option for students who live more than 400 miles away.
