On-Campus Jobs


On-campus jobs include any job that is part-time or temporary (less than four months) that is paid through university funding. Anyone is eligible to apply for these jobs.


To apply for On-Campus Jobs:


1. Look at the on-campus job board on our website located at www.usu.edu/studemp. Then click on the "On-campus jobs" link to the right.
2. You can print a job referral online. The referral will give you the information on how to apply for the job. Take the referral paper with you to meet the employer.
3. The employer will contact you if you are hired.


To post an On-Campus Job:


1. On this website, click on the "On-campus Jobs" link, then "Post Job." Then fill out the requested job information fields.
2. When The Student Employment Office has your completed on-line form, you will be given a job number in the following format: C000-00. If the job is received by 5 pm, it will be posted the next working day at 8 am.
3. Keep a record of the job number. You can call The Student Employment Office and make any changes necessary to the job. It can be reposted at any time.
4. You must take a minimum of 3 referrals, or post the job for 24 hours, whichever comes first.
5. Contact the person that you hired and with them complete the following paperwork: I9, W-4, Memorandum, and the Payroll Direct Deposit Form (optional). All of these forms are available on-line under printable forms or in the Student Employment Office or the HR website.
6. These forms and the referral must be turned into the Student Employment Office within three days after the hire date.


I-9s now go directly to HR.
