Incoming Exchange Students

How to Apply

Incoming exchange students are students who attend international partner institutions with whom Utah State University (USU) has an agreement to send students to and from the institution abroad. Incoming exchange students should first contact their home institution for eligibility requirements.

To complete the application proccess please complete the following steps:

1. Complete an Online Incoming Student Application
2. Print and complete all pages of J-1 Student Visa Forms below and send them to our office through your home institution.

We must receive all completed documents in a timely manner so that you can apply for a student visa before your arrival at USU.

Fall or Academic Year Deadline: March 15th
Spring Deadline: October 15th

NOTE: Exchange students are not seeking a degree at Utah State. If you are a student who wants to be admitted to a degree program at Utah State, please visit the Office of International Scholars and Students website, for more information about the degree application process.
