How to Get to USU

Travel information:

Before leaving home, contact the USU Study Abroad Office with the exact date and time of your arrival. Students will arrive at the Salt Lake International Airport. All major U.S. airlines serve Salt Lake City (SLC), UT. To see a map of Utah, visit http://www.mapofutah.net/. Utah State University is located in Logan, UT. From the airport, students can travel to Logan using either a shuttle service or the Greyhound bus. Both services take about two hours from the time you leave Salt Lake City to the time you arrive in Logan. You should allow enough time for both air travel and ground transportation in order to arrive at USU during regular office hours 8 am to 5 pm or housing check-in times (will be sent by email later).

Cache Valley Airport Shuttle:

This shuttle service offers one-way ($52) and round-trip ($92) tickets. If you show the driver your acceptance letter from our office, the price will drop to $47 (one-way) and $86 (round-trip).You can contact them at 1-800-658-8526 (outside of Cache Valley only) or www.loganshuttle.com or return the shuttle request form included in your acceptance packet, and a seat will be reserved for you. They know the USU campus, and will drop you off at your residence hall check-in area which is:

For Greeves Hall: check-in at Merrill Hall (which is East of Greaves Hall) approximately 400 North 1000 East;

For San Juan Hall: check in at the Lundstrom Student Center 1295 East 1000 North;

For Aggie Village: check in at the Aggie Village Area Office (about 1100 North and 1200 East)

Check-in hours are approximately 9:00 am -5:00 pm and 6:00 pm – 10:00 pm weekdays or 10:00 am to 10:00 pm Saturdays and Sunday’s. Before you arrive, please check with housing or Office of Study Abroad for any changes in these hours.

Salt Lake Express:

This shuttle service offers one-way and round-trip tickets. Tickets cost approximately $30 one way. The shuttle has fixed pick-up and drop off locations and times. It is best to have the shuttle drop you off at the University Inn, which is in the center of campus. From the University Inn, you would need to take a taxi or local bus to the residence hall check-in location. Greyhound bus: One-way tickets from Salt Lake City to Logan are about $25.

From the airport: The Salt Lake City Greyhound bus station is located at 300 S 600 W. You will need to take a taxi from the airport (about $15) or bus #50 (about $2) to the Greyhound station. In Logan: The address of the Logan Greyhound station/Bus Transit Center is 150 East 500 North, located in the North end of the Smith’s(local supermarket) parking lot. Their phone number is 1-435-716-9699. You may want to take a taxi from the Logan station to the university campus (the taxi service charges about $7), OR during Transit Center hours you can take an LTD/CVCN/CVCS (Logan City Bus) for free (LTD Route 1 goes to all of the university residence halls).  CVCN/CVCS routes operate Monday through Friday from 4:55 am -7:15 pm. and Saturdays from 8:45am - 7:15 pm. LTD routes operate Monday through Friday departing from the Transit Center at 6:30 am - 9:30 pm and Saturdays from 9:30 am - 6:30 pm. Taxi Service:

A taxi from Salt Lake City airport to Logan is much too expensive (nearly $100). However, a taxi is very handy for getting from the Greyhound station in Logan to your dorm. The phone number for Logan Taxi is 1-435-753-3663.
