Immigration

All students will be sent a DS 2019 prepared by the OISS at USU in their welcome packet ( ISEP students you will receive your DS 2019 directly from ISEP).

Follow the instructions on obtaining a student visa to enter the US . Students are also required to pay a SEVIS fee before receiving the student visa.

Please note that you are allowed to arrive 30 days before the start date on your DS 2019 and you can stay 30 days from the end date. It is also possible to obtain student employment on the campus at USU for no more than 20 hours per week. Some students who wish to obtain academic training for their degree, can apply to extend their student visa status past the expiration date of the DS 2019. More details can be obtained upon arrival at USU.
