Additional areas of study in English include business, gender issues, Korean culture, politics and studio art. 2,500 graduate). Since 1980, KU has been moving to the new 450-acre Seongseo Campus in the western district of Daegu. KU is located in Daegu, Korea's third largest city, which is situated in the southern part of Korea. It takes only 99min from Seoul to Deagu by KTX (Express Train) while Gyeongju (ancient capital of the Sila dynasty) and the east coast are only one hour’s drive away. KU consists of three campuses: the 450-acre Seongseo campus, the 30-acre Daemyung-dong downtown campus, and the 12-acre Dongsan campus (downtown) in which the Dongsan Hospital, the Medical College and the College of Nursing are located. Most of its academic programs, residence halls, and the main library are located at the Seongseo Campus.
