Credit Transfer

Within about 8 weeks of the completion of the study abroad program ( non-faculty-led), a transcript will be sent to the USU Study Abroad Office from the host institution or program provider, with courses, grades and credits taken during the study abroad period. Once the Study Abroad Office receives the transcript, the student will be notified by e-mail. The Study Abroad Office will facilitate the posting of the grades and credit through the USU Registrar's office. Students will be provided with the original transcript in a sealed envelope, in case it is needed for future study at another institution. Participants on semester and all other non-faculty led programs affiliated with USU, will receive transfer credit which does not factor into G.P.A. Students who participate on a USU faculty directed program, will receive grades and credits posted by the faculty leader. These are considered USU courses and will factor into G.P.A. Please refer to the Pre-Departure handbook of Semester/Academic Year or Summer for more specific details.
