Dae Rung Hyung -- Sparring Form number one
This form was created by 8th Dan Master Dong Hoon Kim of Tucson AZ.
- Start from Joon-Bee (ready) stance.
- Step back in fighting stance, (Gee-Hop).
- Step into front-stance punch to high-section, then step back into
fighting stance.
The punch is thrown quickly and without cocking.
- mid-section front kick, mid-section side kick, ending in fighting stance.
- Move front foot back to rear foot (standing sideways), while executing a
low block, immediatly throw mid-section kick
- Keep eyes to front -- pivot 180 degrees counter clock-wise, by moving
front foot behind back foot (standing sideways), while executing a low block,
immediatly throw mid-section side kick, ending in fighting stance
- Step back-foot behind front-foot while punching to high-section,
immediatly throw mid-section side kick, slidding side kick
, ending in fighting stance
(Gee-Hop)
Sparring form number one is designed specifically to work the low level blocks
and mid-section kicks. One of the unique features is the use of a variety
of footwork and body shifting to set up the blocking and kicking techniques.
