LOGAN, UT –Utah State University’s College of Agriculture will host its sixth annual Chili Cook-Off Jan. 26 at 5 p.m. in the Junction on USU’s Logan campus.

The College of Agriculture has been holding this event for the past six years with the objective of providing a fun, inexpensive and family-friendly event for the community. This year the Chili Cook-Off plans to continue this tradition and will feature the music of local band, Sagawich Basin Boys, in addition to the samples of homemade chili.

This year’s event will cost $3 per person and all proceeds from the event will be donated to the Cache Valley Community Food Pantry.

Prizes will be awarded for first, second and third place. New this year, each department from the College of Agriculture will have the opportunity to win a traveling trophy presented to the best chili from a College of Agriculture department.

To participate in the competition, applicants are asked to contact Lisa Allen, Academic Advisor for the College of Agriculture at 435-797-0454. There is a $5 fee to participate in the competition.
