Library Survey — 'Let Your Voice Be Hurd!'
Thursday, Mar. 21, 2013
University Libraries at Utah State University wants to hear from USU students and faculty and, taking a cue from Big Blue and the USU student organization the Hurd, the theme for the survey is “Let Your Voice Be Hurd!”
Taking the survey is easy, and it can pay off as well. Those who choose to include their email address at the end of the survey will be entered in a prize drawing that includes an iPad, iPad Mini, a Kindle or other great prizes. Confidentiality is ensured and the email address will not be associated with the responses.
The online survey launches Monday, March 25, and continues through April 12. It includes 21 questions and takes approximately five minutes to complete. The intent is to more fully meet the library needs of students and faculty, both at the Logan campus and through online information sources.
An earlier library survey was done in 2007 and resulted in a number of changes in the facilities and collections, including significant access to electronic journals. A summary of the changes made as a result of the 2007 survey can be read online.
The survey, LibQUAL + ® Lite, is part of a national effort led by the Association of Research Libraries to measure library service and quality and to identify best practices. USU’s University Libraries is one of more than 120 academic libraries participating this spring.
Those with questions about the survey or those who would prefer a print copy, can email the library at LibrarySurvey@usu.edu.
