Utah State [University] softball’s coaching staff will host a coaches’ clinic Jan. 18. The clinic is open to all high school, junior high, travel team and recreational league coaches.

Registration begins at 8 a.m. in the Jim and Carol Laub Athletics Academics Complex. Attending coaches can send the attached form (see pdf) to the softball office, or register in person. The form can be emailed to or faxed to (435) 797-9138. The $50 clinic fee will be paid upon check-in. The first activity will begin at 8:45 a.m.

The clinic will feature demonstrations and instruction from each of the Aggie coaches in their areas of expertise. Head coach Steve Johnson will conduct the infield and hitting portions of the day, assistant coach Sarah Sigrest will direct the pitching clinic, while assistant coach Michelle Schroeder will cover catching and outfield.

Following the demonstrations, lunch will be provided before attending coaches have the opportunity to observe the USU team practice.

The 2014 edition of the Aggies will begin on the road at the St. George Tournament Feb. 7-8.
