Utah State University-Online was recognized by U.S. News & World Report as the 13th ranked online bachelor’s degree and graduate education program in the country. U.S. News & World Report is widely regarded as one of the preeminent college rankings reports.

“We have made great strides to become Utah’s premier online university, and in doing so we have also become one of the top-rated online programs in the country,” said Robert Wagner, Utah State University’s executive vice provost and dean for Academic and Instructional Services. “The university views online course and degree delivery as an integral part of higher education’s future. We understand the demands of our consumer students for flexibility and choices when it comes to pursuing a college degree.”

According to U.S. News & World Report, ranking criteria were based upon: student engagement, faculty credentials, peer reputation, student services and technology. More than 200 universities were ranked and included private, public and for-profit institutions. In 2014, USU online undergraduate degrees were ranked number 48 and its online education graduate degrees were ranked number 70.

Utah State University–Online offers eight online bachelor’s degrees such as communicative disorders and deaf education, economics and psychology. It also offers six online master’s degrees such as instructional technology and learning sciences. In addition to complete degree programs, Utah State University–Online delivers more than 350 online courses every semester to nearly 5,000 students in Utah and throughout the United States and beyond, including members of the military in Afghanistan.

“As Utah’s land-grant university one of our missions is to provide our citizens access to higher education,” said Noelle Cockett, Utah State University’s executive vice president and provost. “Our innovation and ability to leverage technology makes it possible for the university to literally reach every corner of the state and far beyond its borders.”
