I am a geologist, with a Master's degree in Quaternary geomorphology. For my thesis, obtained in Spring of 1996, I used aminostratigraphy of fossilized molluscs and previously identified tephra to date sediments from Thatcher Basin, Idaho. Thatcher Basin is pivitol in determining the paleohistory of Lake Bonneville because it was the northeastern most extension of Lake Bonneville at its maximum, 15,000 yrs ago.
Recently, my career path has leaned
toward editing, particularly of scientific documents. I am proficient
at processing and formatting documents,
skills acquired during the assemblage of my thesis and enhanced
significantly since then. I have worked
with Dr. Jim Evans at Utah State University editing structural geology
manuscripts for the past two years, and was recently honored with a
permanent position as Editorial Assistant for the Journal of
Structural Geology. I have helped design an efficient system of
processing, tracking, and editing manuscripts. My resume documents my most recent work
experiences.
My current enrollment in a Web Page Design course has taught me how to develop
web pages in HTML, allowing me to take on the role of Web Mistress
for the
Utah Fractures, Faults, and Fluids Group web page. (UF3) is
a consortium of researchers at Utah State University and the University of Utah
who conduct research on one or more aspects of fault
development, fluid flow in fractured or faulted rocks, structural
analysis applied to hydrogeologic problems, and mathematical
modelling of structures and fluid flow. Please contact me if you have trouble accessing any links
on this web page or see an other flaws.
