The University recognizes the special needs of the first-year and transfer student and demonstrates support of the First Year Experience Program by its:

  • Commitment to first-year students to provide critical courses, advisement, programs, resources and services targeting their special needs.
  • Commitment to faculty and staff to provide development and support of their efforts with first-year students.
  • Commitment to intentional, systematic assessment and improvement of all procedures and programs that affect first-year students.
