U.S. Supreme Court Justice Antonin Scalia says confirmation hearings for the nation's highest court have become mini-constitutional conventions. Scalia, keynote speaker Monday at a two-day conference on freedom and law at Utah State University, objected to the notion of a living constitution and decisions tailored to meet an evolving standard of decency, the Deseret Morning News reported Tuesday.
