Flags Lowered to Honor Trooper Aaron Beesley

Thursday, Jul. 05, 2012

Utah Gov. Gary R. Herbert has authorized the lowering of flags Saturday, July 7, in honor and memory of Trooper Aaron Beesley. All state and national flags will be flown at half-staff at all state facilities from sunrise to sunset July 7.

Beasley, a Utah Highway Patrol trooper, died during a search and rescue mission.

“Trooper Beesley’s dedicated and brave service as a member of the Utah Highway Patrol, serving as a tactical flight office, is significantly appreciated,” Gov. Herbert said in an e-mail statement. “I know those who serve and protect are among Utah’s finest. He paid the ultimate sacrifice in selfless service to others. Trooper Beesley is truly a hero.

Funeral services are Saturday, July 7, at Northridge
