Utah State University’s annual home rodeo is Sept. 28 and 29 at the Cache County Fairgrounds,  450 S. 500 West. The action gets underway at 7 p.m.

Tickets are available for purchase from Rodeo Club Members who will be in the Taggart Student Center Tuesday through Thursday, Sept. 25-27, or at the USU HPER service desk for $4 ($3 USU students). A Family Pack ticket (six immediate family members) is $18. Tickets will also be sold at the gate for $5 individual and $20 for the Family Pack.

The rodeo showcases the talents of the Rocky Mountain Region cowboys as they compete in bareback, saddle bronc, bull riding, team roping, calf roping and steer wrestling and cowgirls as they compete in barrel racing, breakaway roping and goat tying.

The Rocky Mountain Region includes teams from College of Southern Idaho, Idaho State University, Weber State University, Utah Valley University, Utah State University, Colorado Northwestern Community College and Colorado Mesa University.

The USU Rodeo Club promotes academic success as well as success in athletic competition. The club holds activities each month, puts on a large rodeo once a year and encourages members to compete in rodeos throughout the Rocky Mountain Region. For more information on the Rodeo Club or to join, see the blog usurodeo.wordpress.com.
