Gary Langer, founder and president of Langer Research Associates, will be the next Common Hour speaker at Utah State University Wednesday, Oct. 17, at 11:30 a.m. in the TSC Stevenson ballroom. Langer, an expert public opinion analyst, offers the presentation “The Shape of Our Politics.”
Langer will discuss historical trends in partisanship, voting patterns and economic data to explain the current political situation in the United States, including a look at underlying factors that may influence the outcome of the 2012 presidential contest.
A frequent speaker, writer and commentator on public attitudes, Langer is the author of an award-winning blog, the “The Numbers,” at ABCNews.com, has authored or co-authored nearly 30 scholarly papers, given scores of invited presentations on the meaning and measurement of public opinion and has also received two Emmy awards.
