USU students who study in the string program in the Department of Music are featured in an annual spring recital Friday, April 12, 7:30 p.m., USU Performance Hall.

Utah State University students who study in the Caine College of the Arts’ string program will perform in the annual String Chamber Music Recital Friday, April 12, at 7:30 p.m. in the Performance Hall.

“Students directly experience the results of their dedication, ideas and skills in this performance,” said Rebecca McFaul, USU string faculty instructor and member of USU’s Fry Street Quartet.

The concert will feature masterworks of the chamber music repertoire, including selections by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, Beethoven, Joseph Haydn and Dmitri Shostakovich.

Students in the string program are tutored by the Fry Street Quartet, USU’s resident string group, and the string faculty in the Music Department.

“As faculty, we’d love to invite everyone to this special evening where every student in the string program has a voice,” said McFaul.

Tickets are $10 for general admission, $8 for seniors and youth, $5 for USU faculty and staff and free for USU students with ID. Tickets can be purchased at the Caine College of the Arts Box Office located in room 139-B of the Chase Fine Arts Center, by calling 435-797-8022 or see the college’s Production Services website.
