USU EXTENSION 4-H SPONSORS WET & WILD SCIENCE CAMP

LOGAN – Utah State University Extension 4-H in Salt Lake County presents Wet & Wild Science Camp June 24 to 27 from 9 a.m. to noon at the Hidden Park Pavilion in Sugar House Park, 1330 East 2100 South, Salt Lake City.

The camp provides hands on, science-based education for youth in grades 4 to 6. The camp will focus on water quality, watershed science, adaptations and aquatic life in streams.

"Utah is the 2nd driest state in the nation and one of the top water users," said Tessa Groff, USU Extension 4-H outreach coordinator in Salt Lake County. "Teaching our youth about the water cycle, our local watersheds and ways to conserve and improve this natural resource is important for our future."

Groff will teach the four-day camp where participants will learn about the water cycle, macro-invertebrates, watershed mapping and basic hydrology.

Cost for the four-day camp is $75 per person.
