Utah State [University] women's soccer is preparing for its annual alumni soccer tournament which will be held Saturday, Feb. 1, from 12:30 p.m. to 5 p.m. at the Stan Laub Indoor Training Center.

Last season, the Aggies had another very successful event with many former players attending the alumni weekend. The day’s events start with a brunch from 11 a.m.-12:15 p.m., followed by the main event of a scrimmage between the alumni and the current Aggies.

The brunch is free for alumni plus one guest and children under 18. Admission is $8 for any additional guests. Alumni need to RSVP for themselves and their immediate family who attend by e-mailing Utah State soccer at ususoccer10@gmail.com by Monday, Jan. 13, 2014.

The alumni event is an excellent opportunity for former Aggies to re-connect with each other and get acquainted with the current Utah State soccer players as well as other alumni.

Utah State returns eight starters from last season’s squad that ended its first season in the Mountain West with a 10-7-5 record and a 5-3-2 mark in league play. The Aggies advanced to the semifinals of the Mountain West Tournament, falling to eventual champion San Diego State. Utah State loses first-team all-MW forward Jennifer Flynn, while second-team all-Mountain West honoree defender Taryn Rose and Brooke Larsen-Leavitt both return for the Aggies.
