HERTZ 24/7® Offers Vehicles on Utah State University Campus

The Hertz 24/7 car share program is now available on the USU campus. Cars are located in the Big Blue Terrace near the Taggart Student Center and at Mountain View Tower. The program is coordinated by USU Parking and Transportation.

Hertz and Utah State University have officially launched the Hertz 24/7 car share program, offering the Utah State community convenient, hourly car rentals. Students, faculty and staff can register and reserve cars anytime online or via a mobile device. Vehicles are currently located in the Big Blue Terrace near the Taggart Student Center and Mountain View Tower.

“Parking and Transportation has done an excellent job providing the option of having a car available on the occasions when people need them,” said USU Sustainability Coordinator Alexi Lamm. “Hertz 24/7 saves money compared with owning a car, and it’s a great complement to the Aggie Shuttle, Aggie Blue Bikes and carpooling.”

The partnership initially allows for three cars on campus. Two Nissan Altimas are in the Big Blue Terrace, and a smaller vehicle will be available at the Mountain View Towers. Upon completion of a short online enrollment form, validation of a driver's license and a form of payment, customers are able to reserve and drive a Hertz 24/7 vehicle in the same day without ever stepping into a Hertz office. Any member of the campus community over the age of 18 is eligible for membership without an underage surcharge.

Hertz 24/7 members can rent cars anywhere Hertz 24/7 cars are available across the country. Rates start at $10 per hour depending on the type and location of the vehicle rented. Rental includes fuel and insurance. Daily rentals range from $62-$75 per day. Additionally, a $50 deposit is held during each rental and released if the car is returned in good condition. Members may take advantage of enrollment promotions as well as the Hertz Gold Plus Rewards program, which allows members to earn free rental days.

Hertz 24/7 benefits include:

  • No annual fees. Hertz 24/7 does not have membership or annual renewal fees.
  • 180 miles per day, gas and insurance are included in the rates, and daily rates are available.
  • Easy Registration is available through Hertz247.com or through a mobile device.
  • Customer Service. In the vehicle, a hands-free audio kit connects customers to Hertz Customer Care 24/7, 365 days a year should customers have questions, need assistance or need to extend their reservation.

More information, or to make a reservation, is online. Call the Hertz Logan office at (435) 563-2773 with questions or drivers’ license verification.
