Utah State’s [University] football game at BYU Friday, Oct. 3, will begin at 8:30 p.m., and be televised nationally on ESPN, it was announced Wednesday [June 3].

With the announcement, Utah State now has a total of 10 games nationally televised this fall with five home contests and five road games. Seven of the matchups will appear on one of the ESPN Networks (ESPN, ESPN2, ESPNU) and two on CBS Sports Network, while the season-opener at Tennessee Sunday, Aug. 31, will appear on the SEC Network.

In addition to the BYU game, Utah State will have two more nationally televised ESPN games on Friday nights. Its Mountain West road game at Wyoming (Nov. 7) and its home finale against San José State (Nov. 21) will both appear on ESPN2, with the UW game beginning at 6 p.m., while the SJSU game will start at 7:30 p.m.

Utah State games that will be nationally televised on one of the ESPN Networks include three Mountain West home matchups, as the Aggies host Air Force Saturday, Oct. 11, UNLV on Saturday, Oct. 25, and New Mexico Saturday, Nov. 15. Furthermore, USU's regular season finale at Mountain West foe Boise State will also be nationally televised by ESPN on Saturday, Nov. 29.

Kickoff times and specific outlets for Utah State’s four ESPN games mentioned above will be determined during the course of the regular season (generally a 12-day window).

Utah State’s two games on CBS Sports Network include its non-conference home game against Wake Forest Saturday, Sept. 13, and its Mountain West road game at Colorado State on Saturday, Oct. 18. Both games will begin at 5 p.m.

Utah State’s game at BYU this fall will mark the 83rd meeting between the two schools with  BYU leading the all-time series 46-35-3. The two schools last met on Oct. 4, 2013, on Merlin Olsen Field at Romney Stadium where BYU bested the Aggies, 31-14. Utah State’s last win against the Cougars came in 2010, topping BYU, 31-16 at home.
