County Government

There are various forms of county goverment operating in the state of Utah.  Many counties elect commissioners who represent various areas in the county.  There may be as few as three commissioners, or as many as seven.  County and local government is considered grass roots representation and most closely represents the will of the people represented.  Counties make decisions affecting county roads, hospitals, libraries, land claims,  taxation, health services, law enforcement, and historical commissions.  The county clerk would be a good resource to help you in your search.
County Court House

Each branch of county government has materials which document their dealings and decisions. Land claims, mining claims, roads, law enforcement, court decisions, marriage and divorce records are just some of the records maintained in a court house

County health services
Each county will have a health office which will have information on diseases, treatment, prevention, and statistics related to health issues.

County Libraries
