Special Projects

Often museums obtain special funding for archiving projects or displays.  For example the Edge of the Cedars Museum in Blanding in 2000-2001 completed a Navajo oral interview project which transferred 30 year old reel-to-reel tapes onto CD's.  In addition, the 60 tapes were indexed by Rosie Long.

Computer station in the Edge of the Cedars library where Navajo Oral Interview project was done. Reel-to-reel tape recorded Navajo interviews were fed into a new 20 Gig computer, then indexed and pressed onto CDs.
