Extension ServiceUtah State University offers extension services, and classes in many parts of the state. University Extension incorporates all of the traditional Cooperative Extension and Continuing Education programs. This includes degree programs offered at USU branch campuses and education facilities in Brigham City, Ogden, Salt Lake City, Tooele, Moab, Roosevelt, Vernal, Blanding, and Richfield. These facilities, combined with a digital satellite system, allow Extension services to offer courses to 53 communities.
If you live near a college or satellite branch, you will have access to many wonderful resources which you can use in your research. It may be worth the effort to make a trip to a college near you. Below is a list of possible resources that colleges may offer. Remember, if you are not a registered student, you may have to pay fees for some of these services.

College Libraries usually have:
Universities pride themselves in conducting on-going research in
many different fields and there is a good chance that they will
have current information in a wide range of topics.
Personal
collections
College professors are notorious book collectors, and may have
access to books and information that are not found in the
library. They may allow you to use their materials, but probably
won't let you take them home.
Expert faculty
The staff and faculty at colleges are often experts in their field,
and can provide a great wealth of information to student
researchers. Be courteous and polite as you request help,
because their time is valuable.
Many colleges allow community members to use their computer and Internet facilities for research.
