Quest for Utah History Fair
Introduction:You have decided to research and prepare a project for the Utah History Fair. Good for you! It will be a great experience and you will learn a lot. You can even work together as a team to do this. A Web Quest site has been designed to give you ideas about possible community resources you could use as you investigate this project.As a team select a topic to investigate: __________________________Team Assignment:
or select on one of the following as a temporary topic to investigate. You are to research historical changes during the past 50 years related to one of these topics.
1) Changes in Native American Arts 2) Technology's impact on business 3) Environmental changes on the Navajo Reservation 4) Indian education in the county Working together as a team of 3 to 5 members, your task is to determine which resources in your community may have information which will help you. For this practice web quest, write down at least 10 places and/or people you could contact in San Juan County that might have information on the topic your team picked. - Consider locations where information on your subject might me located.
- Go to those locations and read of the availability of research material.
- List on paper those sites that may have the information you are seeking

- Explore the seven sections, writing down any sources you think may help you with your topic.
- To expedite the Web Quest, assign different members of the team different sections to explore if you have enough computers.
- Check off each section as you explore. Write down the places you will plan to investigate on the Community Resource Log.
