Current Theme

It is important that you select a topic that you can be interested in and excited about for about 6-8 weeks. Take 2-5 days and explore lots of possibilities. This project is like going steady for two months and you don't want to be stuck with a dud. While you are brainstorming, be open minded and curious. Then narrow down your search to the best 3 ideas. Then choose wisely!

Analyze task in terms of what is required. (See student guide)
Seek clarification from teachers and others through a variety of all communications media; e.g., in-person, electronic mail,written, fax.
Select and narrow or broaden topics into a manageable focus. (Slide show)
Formulate a topic sentence or thesis statement.
Identify audience.
Conceptualize form of final product based on personal learning style, assignment constraints, and/or nature of information to be presented.
Formulate criteria for evaluation of the process for efficiency and effectiveness and the product for effectiveness.
Build a reasonable timeline for completion of tasks.
