Our next meeting of the Utah Grazinglands Network
(BOARD OF DIRECTORS) will be held at the USDA/BOR Building, in Provo (302
E. 1860 S.), (approximately 3:00 p.m.) on Friday, 2 August 2002, following
the joint UGN/Utah Cattlemen Summer Tour of riparian improvements and water
delivery concerns in the Spanish Fork area. Meet at the Hampton Inn
in Provo (1511 S. 40 E.) at 8:00 a.m. on Friday, 2 August, for the tour.
Be sure to pack a lunch! The tour will be over early in the afternoon.
The UGN coalition will meet at the USDA-BOR Building at 302 E. 1860 S.
in Provo (a few blocks roughly east of the mall at the south end of town)
after the tour. If you are attending the meeting but not the tour,
you could call Ken Mills on his cell phone (801-710-3708) for an
approximate starting time. The Core4 Pilot Project and retreat at
Deseret L&L will be the main agenda items. Your continued involvement
with the Utah GLCI, Inc., dba Utah Grazinglands Network, is needed and
appreciated.

UGN CORE4 PILOT PROJECT STRATEGY RETREAT -
1:00 p.m., 30 September 2002, to 12:00 noon, 1 October 2002, at Deseret
Land & Livestock in Rich Co. (Woodruff or is it Randolph?). This
is an important event for UGN's future. This will be a retreat to
put together the strategy for UGN participation in a national Core4 Pilot
Project (more details to come). Please make arrangements to be there!
Let Bill or Ken Mills know if you can attend so that Deseret has a head
count for planning. Arrangements may need to be made for overflow.
