The J. Golden Taylor Award
Named for the first editor of Western American Literature, one of the Western Literature Association’s founders and presidents, this award was established in 1984 and is presented to the graduate student who submitted the best paper to the annual conference. [The recipient of this award has to be enrolled as a graduate student at the time of the WLA Conference.] The paper should be conference-length, not exceeding 15 pages. Since 2000, the award can only be received once.
