Jaquelin Pelzer is the WLA Fellow, second year.
Originally from South Carolina, Jaquelin fell in love with the West as a teenager and is happy to be studying it as a graduate student. She enjoys hiking in Logan Canyon with her dog, Macy, and looks forward to a snowy winter. Currently she’s working on her thesis on the use of nature in early literature of Los Angeles and its influence on the emergence of an LA mythology. Contact: jaquelin.pelzer@usu.edu.
Josh Anderson is the TJ Lyon Fellow, first year.
Hailing from the flatlands of North Dakota, Josh welcomes the change of scenery (and elevation) that Logan, Utah, has to offer. As a lover of all things outdoors, Josh enjoys hiking and exploring in Logan Canyon during the summer and fall, and he looks forward to snowboarding and ice-fishing in the winter. While at USU, Josh plans to continue his studies in Native American literature and languages, as well as North American nature writers and U.S. farm literature. Contact: josh.anderson@usu.edu.
