Change the future……………
The Women's Center provides financial assistance to reentry students and programming that serves to educate campus and community on gender issues that are especially important to women. The Center has been a place where women - and men - could identify and search out programs, assistance, and each other. It has always served to bridge the gap between the diverse elements and cultures in Cache Valley and society. Lives have been changed because of a program, scholarship, or connecting with others.
You are not just writing a
check, you are writing a
future.
(A reentry single mother of four children)
Donors are the foundation on which the Women's Center scholarships have grown. From a $25 donation given to then Dean Helen Lundstrom in 1974 to help a woman come back to school, our Financial Assistance Program has grown to $1.5 million dollars. We use only the interest from donor endowments to provide scholarships to reentry women and men and to ensure the longevity of the scholarship program. Last year we provided scholarships for 83 women and men who otherwise would not have had the opportunity to attend school.
It is donors who helped to initiate the Women's Center Program Endowment to support and enhance the Women's Center mission; to promote the exchange of information for personal and professional development for students, faculty, staff, and others served by the Women's Center; and, to bring speakers or special exhibits to enrich the intellectual climate at USU.
You may donate to the Women’s Center for Lifelong Learning and the Reentry Student Center in a variety of ways:
